Kurt Lewin, an expert in “relationship laboratory” borrowed this Word “feedback” from the rocket monitoring professionals. Lewin says that when the rocket is up in space there is a built in mechanism that sends signals down on earth and here on earth there is a rocket steering mechanism that receives the signals, interpret them, and then sends feedback to the rocket to repair it or to direct it so that if it has lost the track it comes back in the right track.
Lewin says, we are like rockets, our behaviors, our words, our body language, our decisions etc, sends signals to our spouses, colleagues, neighbors, patients, to mention but a few. And, when they receive the signals we send them they send feedback/response so as to repair us, or to re-direct us in the right track or the track we are expected to be.
